An industrial visit was organized for 55 students to Fine Spavy Associates & Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. with the objective of providing practical exposure to material testing techniques, particularly Brinell Hardness Testing and Rockwell Hardness Testing.
During the visit, industry experts explained the importance of hardness testing in quality control, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Students were introduced to the working principles, components, and operational procedures of Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing machines. Demonstrations were conducted on different metallic specimens, and students observed the testing process, measurement methods, and interpretation of hardness values.
The resource persons highlighted the industrial applications of hardness testing in evaluating the mechanical properties of materials and ensuring product reliability. Students actively participated in the practical sessions and interacted with technical staff to clarify their doubts regarding testing standards and procedures.
